Daycare Playtime
Tag, you're it!

Your dog is gonna LOVE our open playtimes! That's because we provide plenty of entertainment for your pooch, including play equipment, pools, toys, and lots of people attention and affection!

We separate dogs into three play groups, according to size and temperament.

The Benefits of Daycare...

*Social interaction with other dogs teaches your dog appropriate "dog speak."

*Daycare helps to define, and refine, the rules of play with other dogs and people.

*All the activity and playtime provide great exercise that burns up energy and helps your pup go home "dog tired!"

*Learning how to meet & greet other people builds trust and confidence in your dog.

*Our special games & activities, like foraging boxes, stimulate your dog's mind and build problem solving skills.

*We specialize in socializing shy & fearful dogs. If your dog is a little shy, it's important to expand his horizons! Learning positive associations with other dogs and people will open the world up for walks, visiting friends, or meeting strangers. We use only gentle, non-threatening methods to help a shy dog blossom!

We require all of our canine guests to be current on Rabies, Distemper/Parvo (DHPP), and Bordetella.

Enrichment Activities
Let's get bizzy!

At Animal Play Works we are constantly striving to find challenging and unique activities to keep your dog entertained!

Most dogs have an immediate curiosity and interest in anything novel or new. So we surprise them with toys and treats that they don't usually get. We also stimulate their senses with flavored ropes and tennis balls; plush squeakies; toys with lights and music; and we even try to appeal to their sense of vision by using blues, purples, and yellows--colors dogs can distinguish in ther color spectrum.

Rummaging through a box, a pile of hay, or inside a wrapped sheet trigger your dog's natrual scavenging instincts. And we can even indulge your dog's prey drive in a safe way with our remote control car.

We also use jugs filled with treats to knock around. Snacks like apple chunks, baby carrots, and popcorn, are always well received! And in the summer we have icy Slush Puppies, giant Kool Aide flavored ice blocks, and watermelon feeds.

These unique and creative activites allow your dog to express his natural instincts; exercise his cognitive abilities to solve problems; and to anticipate new objects and challenges as interesting and exciting, not threatening or scary.

All of our enrichment activities are offered to the entire play group at no extra charge.
